We’re looking for 2 x Front of House Staff to manage the front desk for Boy Blue’e weekly company training sessions and open classes.
It’s a busy venue with children, young people and adults attending dance sessions from 12pm-10pm each week. The Front of House Staff will be responsible for signing dancers in for their classes, managing the reception area, and being a representative of Boy Blue.
We’re looking for reliable, organised and welcoming people to apply.

Job Description
Managing the reception desk at Spotlight Centre for our Sunday training sessions and open classes
Signing in dancers to their classes using Boy Blue Team Up App
Ensuring parents drop off and collect their children from the reception
Answering any questions at the front desk
Take payments on card reader only (no cash handling)
Be a representative of Boy Blue
Understand the fire evacuation procedures for the building
Understand Boy Blue’s safeguarding requirements and reporting procedures in case of safeguarding concerns or disclosures
Host the front desk and check tickets for arriving audiences for Studio Showcases
Have good relationships and good communication and with the Artistic Directors, Boy Blue teaching team and Boy Blue office.

Details about Sundays
We run training sessions for children and adults every Sunday from 12noon to 10pm.
Our classes include:
Mini Bluez – Children aged 4-7·
Sky Bluez – Children aged 7-11
The Bluez – Youth aged 11-16(Intermediate)
The Blueprint – Youth aged 11-16(Advanced)
Alpha Blue – Youth aged 16-21
Adults Company A (Advanced)
Adults Company B (Intermediate)
Open Youth Training session
Open Adults Training session
Term dates
Sundays -25 September 2022 onwards (breaks over some half term holidays, Xmas, New Year and Summer)
Times
We will divide the day into two shifts 12pm-5pm and 5pm-10pm.
Payment
Freelance rate of £11.05 per hour (London Living Wage)
