Boy Blue Young Leaders brings together a confident and diverse cohort of young people who are able to advise, consulton and shape the breadth of work that Boy Blue does.
Being a member of Boy Blue Young Leaders is an amazing opportunity to develop your skills as a young leader in creative industries and to add the important youth perspective in supporting and influencing Boy Blue.
Young Leaders will meet 4 times per year to learn, discuss and elevate the excellent work and projects that Boy Blue delivers.
You will learn all about how Boy Blue runs, from participation to productions, to operations and infrastructure and much more.
You will have inspirational talks from members of Boy Blue and industry professionals allowing you to develop your new skills, further your existing skills and preparing you for future leadership roles in creative fields.
● Can demonstrate a great willingness to learn and contribute

● Want to make a differencet o Boy Blue, it’s dancers, and the communities we work with
● Are confident to advocate for improvements and innovations
● Can act as excellent role models and ambassadors for Boy Blue
● Are open-minded and accepting of different perspectives and life experiences
● Can commit to 4 meetings per year at the Barbican in central London
● Minimum commitment of 1 year, maximum commitment of 2 years
● Young people between the ages of 18-25
● You must either be a current member of Boy Blue or Boy Blue Alumni to apply
● We encourage young people with an interest in creative careers and leadership skills in creative industries to apply
● Develop creative leadership skills, problem solving, team work, communication & strategic skills
● Grow your network of professional connections
● Get insights on Boy Blue’s work, and shape and contribute to upcoming projects
● Learn about governance and how the charity sector works
● Bring new and innovative ideas
● Reflect the interests of the young people and the communities you’re part of
● Invest in yourself as a future leader
● Gain valuable experience to enhance your CV
● Boost your employment and further education opportunities
Being a member of the Young Leaders is voluntary. In exchange for your time and expertise, Boy Blue will provide food & drinks, cover your travel expenses by public transport up to £25 per meeting and offer complimentary tickets to all Boy Blue shows.

There are 8-10 spaces available in Boy Blue Young Leaders.
The Barbican is a fully accessible venue.
